How to Access Veteran Care Services
As a family member looking to ensure your veteran loved one receives the best care, it’s important to understand the steps involved in accessing VAC-funded services through Dilamphis Care:
1. Eligibility: Veterans may be eligible for home care services if they are approved for benefits through Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC). This can include personal care, nursing care, and respite services, depending on the veteran’s needs and circumstances.
2. Contact VAC or Medavie Blue Cross: Families should contact Veterans Affairs Canada or Medavie Blue Cross to confirm eligibility and coverage. This will help determine what services are available and how much is covered under the veteran’s benefit plan.
3. Consult with Dilamphis Care: Once eligibility is confirmed, our team at Dilamphis Care will work with you to develop a customized care plan that meets your veteran’s specific needs. Whether it’s long-term care or temporary support, we ensure that every care plan is tailored to the individual.
4. Ongoing Care and Coordination: Our team handles all communication with VAC and Medavie Blue Cross, ensuring that claims are processed smoothly and care is delivered without interruption. We regularly update family members and adjust care plans as the veteran’s needs evolve.
